Want to Have Longevity? Be a Leader

There's no reason someone should pursue a career up to the highest position that can be achieved. The scientists found, a leader who becomes more protected from the attack of various diseases and problems in old age.

Scientists from the University of New South Wales found, became a leader among a community structural changes triggered in the brain, which may protect memory and learning center in old age.


They found no relationship between managerial experience, high working efficiency, and size of the hippocampus - the zone of the brain responsible for learning and memory - in people aged 80 years.

Experts say the managerial activities requires constant mental activity to solve problems, ability to understand another person until the development of short-term memory. Over time, this can cause significant structural changes in the brain.

So, if you want to have a mind that remains clear in old age, be a leader
