Not only present pleasure, spicy foods proved to be beneficial to lose weight. For lovers of spicy cuisine, eating foods containing chilli is not only a pleasure, but also health benefits. Recent findings reveal even to erode the benefits of body fat chili.

The team of researchers from the University of California found, the content of capsaicin in chili peppers that cause taste and spicy heat can lead to burning calories and oxidize the layer of fat in the body.

From these findings, the team then developed a variant capsaisin chili with the same content, but produces a flavor that was not too spicy and the effect that was not too hot. They named it with chili dihydrocapsiate (DCT).

The researchers initially did not expect spicy plant that has been consumed by people in the world since centuries ago it was beneficial for those who are weight-loss program. However, study results reinforce them to continue to develop.

Led by Dr. David Heber, they conducted experiments on 34 men and women who are interested to consume liquid food products are low calorie replacement for 28 days. They then select respondents at random to take supplements containing chili DCT. The rest given a placebo supplement.

The results of analysis after seven hours of feeding and supplementation showed an increase in burning calories in the body of respondents who take supplements containing high enough chili DCT. Increases were more than double the calorie burn in the body of respondents who took placebo pills.

The research team also showed DCT Bajwa plays an important role in increasing fat oxidation. DCT intake encourages the release of body fat as energy. Increased metabolism is then able to help someone menurunan weight. Certainly supported by the consumption of foods low in calories. The results of this study have been published in Experimental Biology's annual conference
