You are womankind, be careful snacking. Because, according to recent studies, eating biscuits, bread, or cake three times a week can causes cervical cancer risk.
This is the result of research for 10 years which was held the Karolinska Institute in Sweden. They were monitor the eating habits of more than 60 thousand women and found that those who are familiar snacking on these foods 33 percent more likely to suffer from the disease.
For them who enjoy a snack it is more than three times a week, the risk surged to 42 percent.
Scientists in Sweden wanted to know if there is a direct link between the consumption of sweet foods and cancer. They studied data from thousands of women during 1987 to 1990 by giving the health-related questions, such as diet, lifestyle, and weight. Ten years later, they are still alive uncover answers to questions about their eating habits.
In 2008, the researchers matched the answer to their medical records, primarily for the diagnosis of endometrial cancer, the most common form of uterine cancer.
Candy, soft drinks, and butter have little effect. However, those who exceeded a total intake of more than 35 grams of sugar per day, equivalent to about seven teaspoons of sugar, may have increased 36 percent in the risk of tumors. Scientists say that an excess of sugar makes the body produce more insulin and estrogen. Their findings are published in the journal Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers and Prevention.
