Parent Child Protective Trigger Obesity

As a parent, the desire to protect the baby must be very high. But, do not overdo it. Because of this overprotective attitude that can make your child's risk of obesity.

What is the trigger? When the baby to be physically active, like he's playing in the park or running around and you always say 'be careful' or prevent it, he will be afraid. It made him so lethargic and reluctant to do more physical activity.

Spontaneous expression, such as cries of fear or always holding it, can lead to children being less active. "This is what many parents do today. Worried about the safety of their children to make them very protective," said Dr. Jason Bocarro, researchers from North Carolina State University, was quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.

This conclusion is the result of research by a team from North Carolina State University at 20 playgrounds in Durham, North Carolina, United States. They classify the children playing in the park in three categories namely, quiet, moderately active, and very active.

According to Dr. Jason, who should worry about the parents is when children are more often in front of the television or computer, compared with their peers play in the park. This makes the high-risk children are obese due to lack of physical activity.

Besides, children's bodies still in the stage of growth should be stimulated by physical activity.

Research to be published in the American Journal for Preventive Medine found children who had protective parents tend to stop when performing activities that are very active. According to researchers, public parks was instrumental to making the child stay active.
