Can Stress By Decreasing the child's father

During this time only the condition of the mother who creates can be affect the condition the unborn baby. But recent studies show that fathers that stress can affect the unborn baby, although complicated.

"Mothers and fathers have a tremendous influence on their children," says Dr. John Krystal, editor of the journal Biological Psychiatry, as quoted from ScienceDaily (06/09/2011).

Most studies only focused on maternal influences. But this time the researchers investigated the influence of his father and found that male rats exposed to chronic stress will decrease the stress behavior to their offspring.

In this case gender did not affect, because both the descendants of men and women showed an increase in depression and anxiety behavior although the strongest effect on men.

Thing that needs to be underlined here is the change in behavior is only found in the natural reproductive process, not through fertilization outside the womb or in vitro fertilization.

"The findings in mice raise the possibility that a person's risk of experiencing clinical depression or stress disorders can be determined from the stress of his father," said author Dr. Eric Nestler, of Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York and chairman of the study authors.

The risk of depression may increase significantly due to the chronic stress of pressure which is influenced by environment or genetics. The interaction of these two factors is quite complicated.

But apparently there are three factors that affect the epigenetics. Epigenetics is the science of genetic expression changes are not caused by actual changes in DNA sequencing.
