Share Cosmetic Dangers

You often share and exchange cosmetics with brothers or friends? You should refrain the habit!

Experts caution that beauty cosmetics, including lipstick, mascara brush, sponge powder, eyebrow pencil that is used together with friends or your family can be the media of spreading germs. The condition is prone to cause infection throughout the skin.

Dermatologist Dr. Rashmi Shetty said that cosmetic brushes and applicators can easily carry bacteria from one person to another. In fact, the container is moist and dark is a very suitable place for bacteria to breed.

"Sometimes it can be damp sponge powder if you do not wash and dry them well. It would be a good place for bacteria to grow," he said, quoted by the Times of India.

People who suffer from skin problems like pimples and blackheads, should diligently care for and maintain the cleanliness of cosmetic uses. Cosmetic brushes and applicators can easily reach the area of acne. If you share with your friends that acne is not likely you will be infected.

"So, use the tools themselves cosmetics and avoid using cosmetics from women who suffer from the same skin problem," he said.

Also, avoid sharing cosmetics lip and eye because the two parts of the face is more easily infected. Therefore, if you want to buy a lipstick or mascara, do not be tempted to use the product tester on the eyes and lips.

Using cosmetics that have expired can also cause infection. Old cosmetics should be discarded and replaced as needed. Typically, lipstick possess 2-3 years, 1-2 years of foundation, powder 1-2 years, 4-6 months blush, mascara 3-4 months, 3-6 months and eye shadow.

Given the expired date of each product varies, try to always remember when you buy cosmetics.
