Cardiac disorders haunt Insomnia Sufferers

Insomnia sufferers deserve to feel worried. Research experts from the University of Science and Technology, department of public health, Trondheim, Norway recently stated that insomnia may increase the risk of heart attack.

The study involved 52 610 participants. Findings, those who suffer from acute insomnia has the risk of heart problems 45 percent larger. While they are able to sleep for several hours and waking up early to have 30 percent risk of heart problems.

"Sleep disturbance is common and fairly easy to treat. But considering the effect it creates, it is very important for the sufferer to consult a health professional," said lead researcher, Lars Erik Laugsand.

Insomnia is not be underestimated. Besides disturbing physical health, insomnia may also interfere with mental health. Those who suffer from insomnia have problems with concentration and bad mood. Not only that, the experts also revealed that those who do not have enough time to sleep, prone to depression and decreased brain function. Decline in brain function that will inhibit the sufferer even in doing simple tasks.
