Married reduce the risk of deaths from cancer, because the bonds of marriage is not only good for mental health, but affect the health and resistance to various health problems. The experts found that single men were twice as likely to die from cancer than married people.

Norwegian researchers looked at rates of death from cancer for 40 years from 440 thousand men and women that a diagnosis of cancer in 1970-2007. They found that men and women who have never married are more likely to die after suffering one of the 13 most common types of cancer, including lung cancer, breast and prostate.

However, the most striking mortality rates occurred in men who had never married at the age of 70. The death rate from cancer than single people continues to increase every decade.

The single men who had never married at cancer diagnosis have an increased risk of death by 35 percent compared to the average man to marry as many as 18 percent. Whereas in women is lower, the risk of death 22 percent of single women than married women 17 percent.

These findings reinforce previous research that married people generally have better health and live longer than those who are single. Because, people get married tend not to smoke and drink excessively and have better mental health.

Researchers at the University of Oslo said it might be a factor affecting the number of cancer deaths.

They also suggest that a married person may be diagnosed earlier because they tend to visit doctors more often. Cancer patients who are married also get better treatment because of support from the spouse.

"Early diagnosis is the key to cancer treatment. So you should immediately visit a doctor when they see unusual changes both for those who are married and single." Married  reduce the risk of deaths from cancer.
