Sugar-Free Chewing Gum, In fact Damage Teeth

Dental professionals who advise patients to chew sugarless gum after eating, seems to have to reconsider that recommendation. The scientists found that the habit of chewing sugar-free gum it can actually damage the teeth.

According to British scientists, sugar-free gum is not the right choice for your teeth. Foods labeled "sugar free" can actually be a source of risk to health. That's because the sugar substitute used in chewing gum, xylitol and sorbitol, which is called reducing the likelihood of tooth decay, actually increase the acidity. As a result, eroded tooth enamel.

The body will also be affected due to the acidification. Not only that, indigestion and diarrhea would be stalking people who like to consume sugar-free foods. The study also found that sugar-free products do not reduce the weight and do not cause weight loss.
