There are many different things that cause a person to experience headaches as a sudden change in diet (eating), too much sleep, stress, long hours of work, forgetting to eat, drink, watch TV in a dark room or using a computer for long periods without a break. However, many people do not realize that the real headache is a symptom of dehydration.

In addition to oxygen, water is the most important element necessary for human survival. We can survive without food for almost two months, but without water may be only a few days. Most people do not know how much water needs to be obtained. In fact, many of whom are living in a state of dehydration.

Water is the key to life, both on earth and for the human body. Just like the earth, of which 70 percent is water and 30 percent of the land, the human body is a miniature version of it.

Dehydration is a condition of loss of water and electrolytes such as sodium, chloride and potassium, which is necessary for the body to perform its functions and good for health. The main cause dehydration generally because someone does not drink enough water.

Headaches can not heal by itself. Headaches are a sign that tells us that something is wrong, but our bodies do not always provide clear signals and tell what we should do. When the body is dehydrated, we do not always feel thirsty, but most often is a headache.

Most adults need between about 2 liters of water or more per day depending on activity, weight and height, and lifestyles. However, the recommendation has been suggested, to meet fluid needs, a person should drink at least eight glasses a day.

So, if you have a headache, try drinking water until the pain in your head disappear. Because it will work like a magic potion.
